How can I customize the form background color in Google Forms?

This is a common question from Google Forms users who want a form in their own colors. The theme option in Google Forms only changes the page around the form, so the form itself stays white. If the form has to match your website, that white box stands out. With Formfacade, you can change the background color of the form and your users will see your color behind the questions. Even better, you can embed it in your website with no iframe, so it looks like part of your page.

Let's start. Create your form and follow the steps below.

Google Form's theme customization option allows you to change the background color, but it doesn't change the background color of the form itself; it only updates the page background color around the form.

How to change the background color?

  • On the page that opens, name your form, click Build form and click Proceed. It can take about a minute.
  • You will land on the form's "Preview" tab.

  • The THEME tab will be displayed

  • Scroll down to Background to change the background color for the form

  • Click on the widget for background color. The color palette will be shown.
  • Select the required color
  • Click on the "Apply to all forms" button, which changes the color on every live form on your account, not only this one.
