How can I change the font size or bold text in a confirmation message in Google Forms?

This is a common question from Google Forms users who run events or take registrations. For example, the confirmation message is where you tell people what to do next, such as a payment deadline. Google Forms lets you change this message, but it is plain text. You cannot make the important line bold or change the font size, so it is easy to miss. With Formfacade, you can change the font size or make text bold and your users will see the deadline stand out as soon as they submit. Even better, you can add images and hyperlinks to the same message.

Let's start. Create your form and follow the steps below.

How to format the confirmation message text?

  • On the page that opens, name your form, click Build form and click Proceed. It can take about a minute.
  • You will land on the form's "Preview" tab.
  • Click on "Edit" tab
The tabs Edit, Preview, Share and Responses, with Edit marked
  • Scroll down to the end of the form and click on the gear icon on the last "After page" row. It says "After page 1" on a form with one page. The panel can take a few seconds to open, so click once.
  • If it asks "Button not configured!", click No.
